Covers: Waitin’ For A Superman
Riding a wave of Twilight-induced hype, Iron & Wine will be releasing Around the Well, a collection of rare and out-of-print tracks spanning from pre- Creek home recordings through studio outtakes from the Shepherd’s Dog. Many of these have been floating around the net for quite some time, but this is the first time they will see official release.
Beam’s stripped-down take of the Lips’ Soft Bulletin classic will appear on the set and emphasizes the heaviness of the lyrics. The recording below comes from a Morning Sounds Eclectic session recorded in 2002.
