Weekly Round Up – April 19th 2009

When we weren’t overjoyed by 70’s cop-comedies last week, we were listening to/reading about music, and as far as we’re concerned the following is the bees’ knees.
- OH MY GOD CMI IS EVERYWHERE – Including Twitter and LaLa! We’re still working on it, but find us here and here. You should check it out, and make us popular so we can quit our real jobs and get on Time’s short-list of influential people, like the Editor-in-Chief of a certain other trendsetting website.
- Many hours were gloriously wasted listening to John Davis’ (ex-Q and Not U, ex-Gerogie James, current-Title Tracks) radio show 1-2-3-4 More More More
- New Breeders’ video, but first you have to sit through some Applebee’s ad for a shitty buffalo chicken salad or something similar.
- Abe Vigoda video too! I remember when he was just a dude in Barney Miller and occasionally referenced in Beastie Boys’ songs.
- Free Music Archive is up and running and has plenty of Psychedelic Horseshirt and Vivian Girls to keep us happy during its Beta testing.
- Kiwi janglers, the Bats, are back with a new track and album set for US release in June.
- New Deerhunter track:
- The AV Club interviews Bill Callahan, Will Oldham, and Dan Deacon
- Aquarium Drunkard has a My Morning Jacket radio session from 2001
