10 Questions with Great Lake Swimmers

glsband2
Great Lake Swimmer’s Tony Dekker composes gentle and rustic pop music that seems to occupy no specific time or place. The band employs the natural reverb of their historic recording spaces as a sixth member, creating a wide open sound that lends itself equally well to the hushed balladry of their early releases as it does to the more up-tempo folk-pop of their recent releases.

We recently had the opportunity to have a quick chat with lead Swimmer, Tony Dekker, via email where he quickly and graciously answered our “10 Questions.” Enjoy and be sure to check out the band’s latest album, Lost Channels.
